PURPOSE:To prevent the spoiling of a product and light shielding plate by covering the sheet having combustibility and combustion gas absorptivity on the material to be worked, arranging a light shielding plate thereon and projecting a laser beam on the light shielding plate. CONSTITUTION:The material 1 to be worked of a lumber, etc., is pleaded on an X/Y table 2 and the sheet 3 having combustivity and combustion gas absorptivity is covered thereon. The light shielding plate 4 consisting of a good heat conductive metal plate is arranged on the upper face of an absorbing sheet 3. When a laser beam 5 is projected for the lower part with moving the X/Y table 2, the sheet 3 is instantaneously burned at the slit part (a) of the light shielding plate 3 and the recessed part 1a of the material 1 to be worked is formed at the lower part. In this case, the combustion gas of the lower face of the plate 4 is absorbed by the sheet 3 and the fouling substance inside the gas is absorbed. The pollution of a product 1 and light shielding sheet 4 is thus prevented. |
