<p>The reinforced item is prepared in a suction box which has an outlet. It contains a perforated plate which has the shape of the component which is to be made of a composite floor by a car. A mixture of reinforcing fibre and binder is sprayed on the plate and solidifies to form rigid fibre structure. (The ribres can be organic or inorganic and the binder can be thermoplastic or thermosetting). The fibree structure is coated on one or both sides with a layer of thermoset and lifted onto the moulding tool surface. The tool is then closed and the thermoset is pressed into the fibre structure.</p> |
