The telecommunication system has a number of calling, sound producing and sound receiving units for subscribers complete with sets of push-buttons (2) and also a number of subscriber appts. for receiving calls (3). A tape recorder (9) for telephone answering is connected via a line (9a) to the subscriber line (3a) of each called appts. (3). Before the tape recorder is connected, an information exchange takes place with a synthetic speech generating unit (20). A selector (4, 5) is connected between the two categories of subscriber appts. (2, 3) and is controlled by a code unequivocally belonging to the called subscriber appts. and which activates a control system (6) to which it is coupled, and which incorporates a register (7). Connected to each calling subscriber appts. (2) is a unit (8) which debits the caller account dependent upon the time for each call. |
