<p>Installation for the ultrasonic testing of components by a local immersion process comprising: a source of liquid, a pump fed therefrom, a coupling head supplied with liquid by said pump and capable of directing a jet of said liquid on the component to be tested, and an ultrasonic beam contained within said jet and coaxial therewith, said coupling head comprising: a) a first tranquillising chamber connected to the outlet of said pump, b) a second cylindrical tranquillising chamber connected to said first chamber by at least one channel for the liquid, c) an ultrasonic transducer capable of emitting an ultrasonic beam via an active surface directed towards the component and located in the second chamber, centred on the axis of said second chamber and perpendicular thereto, d) a convergent coaxial with said second chamber of a shape designed to reduce or eliminate turbulence, with the output at the end of the Fresnel region relative to the transducer.</p> |
