PURPOSE: To efficiently produce a recombinant protein which has hitherto been hard to secrete and produce in a high production amount by artificially coexpressing a glutathione reductase together with a recombinant protein using Escherichia coil as a host and secreting and producing the protein in a periplasm. CONSTITUTION: A recombinant gene containing a glutathione reductase gene and a recombinant gene coding for a recombinant protein (e.g. a human growth hormone) present on the same replicon or a recombinant gene containing both in the respective different replicons is transduced into Escherichia coil and transformed in secreting and producing the recombinant protein in a periplasm with Escherichia coli as a host. The resultant recombinant Escherichia coil is then cultured to artificially coexpress the glutathione reductase together with the recombinant protein. Thereby, the secretory production amount of the recombinant protein which has hitherto been hard to secrete and produce in a microorganism, above all, the recombinant protein derived from a mammal in the periplasm is improved to efficiently obtain the objective recombinant protein. |
