PURPOSE: To provide a floor cleaning material which does not stick to the floor, can hold a satisfactory water content (water holding property) and has a great capacity of adsorbing and removing contaminant, and to provide a method for favorably executing a floor cleaning work using the material. CONSTITUTION: This floor cleaning material is formed by a mixture of sawdust, high water absorptive polymer and water. Further, one or more kinds selected from a germicidal agent, an aromatic and a self-fire extinguisher may be contained therein. Preferably, 0.1-5.0wt.parts high water absorptive polymer and 100-500wt.parts water are added and mixed to 100wt.parts saw dust. In order to clean the floor, the floor cleaning material is scattered on the contaminated floor, and contaminant is made adhere to the cleaning material to be removed. |
