摘要 PURPOSE: To obtain amorphous alloy or fine crystalline alloy magnetic material improved in iron loss and resistivity through a silane coupling treatment. CONSTITUTION: Magnetic material is formed of amorphous alloy or fine crystalline alloy on whose surface an oxide film is formed through a silane coupling treatment. A coupling treatment can be applied to a thin belt or powder. Fine crystals may be partially deposited through a thermal treatment after a coupling treatment is carried out. The weight of silane coupling agent per area of an alloy surface is set to 0.1 to 100g/m<2> in a dipping method or 1 to 1000mg/m<2> in a spray method. It is preferable that methyltrimethoxy silane, hexyltrimethoxy silane or aminopropyl trimethoxy silane is used as silane coupling agent. Or, fine crystals are deposited through a thermal treatment after an oxide film is formed. Therefore, a very thin oxide film can be formed on the surface of an amorphous alloy or a fine crystalline alloy without having an adverse effect on the characteristics of the alloy.
