PURPOSE: To provide a tracing device in which tracing miss and instability are difficult to occur compared with a public device using a normal multiple correlating method. CONSTITUTION: A device suitable to the tracing of a road vehicle from an air platform uses a correlating device 5 which processes data received from a thermal image pickup device 1. This device is provided with a binary template used by the correlating device 5, and this template is based on the points of large curvature of an object to be traced. Here, for example, an image obtained by a ground camera mounted on the air platform is displayed. Thus, tracing miss and instability can be extremely reduced compared with a normal correlation tracing device under the condition of high density field similar to the feature of an object. |
