PRODUCTION OF METHYLENE CHLORIDE AND CHLOROFORM

摘要

PURPOSE:To produce methylene chloride and chloroform from methanol without almost producing carbon tetrachloride and hydrogen chloride and without using specific operation and equipment. CONSTITUTION:This method consists of the first reactional process for producing methyl chloride by reacting methanol with hydrogen chloride in the presence of a catalyst and the second reactional process for subjecting hydrogen chloride in the first reactional process to oxychlorination reaction in the presence of a catalyst.
