REFLECTION PREVENTING FILM AND DISPLAY DEVICE EQUIPPED THEREWITH

PURPOSE: To provide a high capacity reflection preventing film reduced in reflection over a wide visible wavelength region and a display device equipped therewith. CONSTITUTION: A reflection preventing film is composed of a laminated film having a film containing coloring matter having an absorption peak within a near infrared region of 700-900nm or coloring matter having an absorption peak within a region of 600-700nm or both of them as the uppermost layer and has a film containing coloring matter having an absorption peak within a region of 500-600nm just under the uppermost layer and utilizes the change of reflectivity caused by the refractive index abnormal dispersion of the coloring matter-containing films. By this constitution, the refractive index of the layer just under the uppermost layer is abnormally dispersed by the absorption of red coloring matter and the reflection preventing film low in reflection over an entire visible light region by the balance of the refractive index with the layer containing coloring matter having absorption within a near infrared region or blue coloring matter or both of them of the uppermost layer can be produced. Further, the red coloring matter having an absorption peak within the region of 500-600nm contained in the layer just under the uppermost layer absorbs side bands of green and red to enhance color purity.
