PURPOSE: To obtain a surface skin material for a vehicle, capable of efficiently removing malodor in the vehicle, maintaining the effect for a long time, and preventing the generation of static electricity accumulated in a human body on riding in the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A surface skin material for a vehicle is produced by impregnating a conductive cloth with a mixed resin emulsion in a solid content of 50-200g per square meter and subsequently converting the impregnated emulsion into a resin. The mixed resin emulsion contains a polymer latex in a solid content of 100 pts.wt., the mixture of a water-containing magnesium silicate clay mineral and active carbon in an amount of 50-180 pts.wt. and 3-90wt.% of a dispersant, the content of the active carbon being 40-90wt.% based on the total amount of the clay mineral and the active carbon. A static electricity-removing function due to the combination of the electric conductivity of the active carbon with the conductive cloth in addition to the deodorizing functions of the clay mineral and the active carbon are expressed.
