PURPOSE: To improve responsiveness of a hydraulic actuator in a hydraulic seal device provided on an oil passage for supplying and discharging the oil in respect to the hydraulic actuator in a hydraulic clutch or a hydraulic brake, by securing sealability of oil at the engagement of the hydraulic actuator and leaking the oil at the disengagement time. CONSTITUTION: One end 12A of a seal ring 12 held by a seal ring groove 11 is oriented inward in a diameter direction in respect to the other end 12B. Oil leakage is allowed by opening a joint port 13 in the state without application of hydraulic pressure. When the hydraulic pressure is supplied so as to engage a hydraulic actuator, one end 12A of the seal ring 12 is deformed outward in a diameter direction due to hydraulic pressure and brought into close contact with a seal surface 3a for closing the joint port 13. Oil leakage is thus prevented through the oil ring 12. |
