The sorting machine delivers items one-by-one between an entry station (PE) and a packaging station (PP). External or internal properties are automatically determined while the fruit or vegetable is held at one of a number of measuring stations (PM1, PM2, PM3) placed between the entry and packaging stations. The measurements include size, color, density, weight, firmness and sugar levels.
