<p>A tilt and slide sunroof arrangement for a motor vehicle has a glass panel (8) peripherally supporting a sealing strip (12) which has a leg portion (22) interlockingly engaging within a slot (28) in the periphery of the glass panel (8). The sealing strip (12) integrally supports a flexible sealing part (20) for sealing against a vertical wall (5B) of the roof (5) and forming part of the frame around the sunroof opening (6). Along the leading edge, only, of the frame, a water channel (14) is integrally defined. Along the corresponding part, only of the sealing strip (12), a lip (34) is provided which, in the tilted position of the sunroof (8), directs ingressing water (A) into the water channel (14). The sealing strip (12) is produced by a continuous extrusion process and, as extruded, includes the lip (34). A cutter at the exit of the extruder cuts off the lip (34) except where it is required along the leading edge of the panel (8).</p> |
