A process for reducing nitrogen oxides in heaters by adding reducing agent - comprises the supply of air or flue gas at low pressure with a reducing agent to a pipe and then mixing them before they enter the furnace.The device for this process is also claimed, comprising a pipe (1) for the reducing agent which passes through a wall (4) in the furnace (2) and is surrounded by an outer pipe (5) for air. An air supply channel is formed between the two pipes, whilst the outer pipe extends further into the furnace than the inner one. The reducing agent is pref. ammonia, urea or a mixt. of these in soln. |
