<p>A hermetic, composite container including a non-metallic composite container body (11) and a metal end (12) which are joined by a double seam (14). The double seam (14) has reduced dimensions resulting in significant savings in material. The metal end (12) is formed of a low basis weight metal having a thickness of less than 0.007 inches wherein substantial wrinkling of the metal end nonetheless is avoided.</p> |
