FIELD: equipment for continuous casting of thin metallic bands or belts in casting space restricted by lateral surfaces of two intensively cooled rolls. SUBSTANCE: supporting apparatus includes carriage mounted with possibility of controlled motion. Pushing device is arranged on carriage. Panel includes at least two foots mounted with possibility of controlled motion in direction parallel relative to axes of rolls with the aid of mechanisms for forcing each foot to respective end of one roll. Apparatus allows to provide controlled wear of lateral wall in range not exceeding normal values of wear for casting process. EFFECT: improved design. 9 cl, 2 dwg |
