PURPOSE: A control panel is provided to allow a user to easily operate a microwave oven by simplifying the configuration of the control panel. CONSTITUTION: A control panel(100) comprises a time control knob(120) arranged at a front surface of the control panel and which sets a cook time by a rotation state of the knob, a start/stop and output control knob(130) arranged in the vicinity of the time control knob and which sets a cooking output by a rotation state of the control knob and starts or stops cooking process, a micro computer(160) for driving the microwave oven in accordance with input signals from the time control knob and the start/stop and output control knob, and a display unit(110) for displaying the set state of the time control knob and the start/stop and output control knob by a control of the micro comp1`uter. The time control knob and the start/stop and output control knob are coupled to encoders(140,150), respectively, arranged at a rear surface of the control panel.
