PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for controlling burglarproof key for vehicle are provided to reinforce the safety of a vehicle against a thief in such a manner that an engine start circuit is cut off under a state that a door is abnormally opened by adding a secret number identification function to a key insert type burglarproof device of the prior art. CONSTITUTION: In a method and apparatus for controlling burglarproof key for vehicle, the apparatus for controlling burglarproof key comprises a switch box for controlling engine start of a vehicle; a sensor(2) for detecting a physical abnormal situation; a remote controller(3) for opening and closing a vehicle door in remote; an alarm member; a key pad(5) for allowing a user to set a secret number; a display member(6); a microcomputer(7); and an engine start circuit(8). The microcomputer(7) includes a device for detecting an operation for starting a vehicle engine; a device for generating alarm sound if the sensor(2) outputs a signal and for cutting off an output from an engine start output terminal if the secret number is not input under a state that the sensor(2) output a signal; a device for allowing a user to open and close a door, connected to the remote controller; a device for storing the secret number input by a user; and a program for displaying any information performed in the microcomputer on the display output terminal. |
