<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater provided with a flame arrester in which clogging with dusts entrained in the outdoor air is hardly generated. SOLUTION: The water heater is provided with a hot-water storage chamber R1 and a combustion chamber R2 provided respectively in the upper and lower parts of the main body 11 of a hollow vessel. An intake for supplying air to the inside is provided to the combustion chamber. An exhaust pipe 17 having a vent in the upper part of the body is passed through the hot-water storage chamber to discharge the exhaust gas from the inside of the combustion chamber to the outside. A flame arrester 27 is provided at the intake of the combustion chamber, and a filter 29 for dust removal is provided upstream of the flame arrester. The flame arrester and the filter may be placed vertically at the sidewall of the combustion chamber, or they may be integrally removably constituted. Two filters may be placed in a manner that openings thereof are not projectively interposed with each other, and further at least the filter in the upstream side may be removably attached. A heating means may be provided to hold the filters at a high temperature.</p> |
