PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of automatically compensating the erroneous attachment of an image forming unit. SOLUTION: This image forming device is equipped with plural image forming units 20Y, 20M, 20C and 20K respectively forming images with toner having a different color in accordance with respective color image signals on a recording medium, an image forming unit position detection part 25 detecting related information such as toner color information from the ROMs 23Y, 23M, 23C and 23K of the respective image forming units 20Y, 20M, 20C and 20K, and an image bus selector 27 switching output to the printing head parts 26Y, 26M, 26C and 26K of the image forming units 20Y, 20M, 20C and 20K in accordance with the detected result. |
