PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small winding roll-like recording material with no relaxation of winding when it is opened from a packaging material and is set on a printer and in addition, to provide a product with no relaxation of winding even when a small winding roll recording material in which thickness of the recording paper exceeds 100 μm is used. SOLUTION: The small winding roll-like recording material characterized by winding the recording paper with a recording layer on a paper substrate on a cylindrical paper pipe and that the ratio of the winding outer diameter of the recording paper to the outer diameter of the paper pipe is at least 2 and the winding width and the width of the paper pipe are at most 60 mm and the water content of the recording paper is at most 5.5%, is provided.
