PURPOSE: To provide a fishing rod in which a slide guide can easily and surely be arranged and fixed to an arbitrary position. CONSTITUTION: This fishing rod is obtained by fixing a tip section 4 to an intermediate section 3 with an adhesive or the like, coating the outer periphery of the connection portion with a synthetic resin 9, forming an overlaid portion 20 having a larger outer diameter (ΔB) than the maximum outer diameter (ΔA) of the synthetic resin 9 on the circumferential surface of the intermediate section 3, and disposing the slide guide 10 having a fixing portion 11 coinciding with the outer diameter of the overlaid portion 20.
