TRANSPARENT PROTECTING OVERCOAT FOR PRINTED MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printed image of photographic quality by applying a transparent protecting overcoat for a printed medium. SOLUTION: A part of a heat transfer material on a carrier ribbon is thermally pressurized so that the heat transfer material is transferred to the printable surface of the medium. Thus the transparent protecting overcoat for the printed medium is obtained.
