Bias binding for fabric edge has two printed lines on either side of centre line to facilitate alignment

The bias binding (2) is printed with a pair of contrasting lines (L1, L2), one on each side of its centre line (LP), so that when the binding is folded over the edge of the fabric its correct alignment can be checked visually or automatically by the superimposition of the two lines. After alignment the binding is sewn to the fabric edge by a straight seam or saddle stitch.
