The following describes a monocoque boat construction combining the properti es of a thermoplastic material with a thermoset laminate. Use of highly resilient thermoplastic material in the lower portion provides an effective resistance to failure at areas where the boat is subjected to impact stresses. Use of a thermoset laminate in the upper portion; having relativel y less resilience but with higher modulus of elasticity; produces resistance to flexural stress.</ SDOAB>
