PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensively operable snow melting unit, capable of melting snow to a wide range from a small range, without requiring installation work of snow melting equipment, for reducing snow removing-excluding labor and cost during winter in a snowfall district. SOLUTION: Operation cost is reduced, by utilizing snow itself as energy, by using a moisture absorbing heating raw material 5 for a heat source. By joining mutual units by a connecting hook projection 1 and a connecting hook recess 4, snow can be melted over a wide range, and cost of equipment work can be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
