PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic composite colored yarn keeping an original good characteristic of a natural fiber spun yarn, also excellent in elastic property and having a good stabilized characteristics such as the flexibility and dyeing property, and an efficient method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This elastic composite colored yarn is obtained by doubling and twisting a polyester-based composite fiber obtained by composing a layer consisting mainly of a polyethylene terephthalate and a layer consisting mainly of a polytrimethylene terephthalate side by side, with a natural fiber spun yarn and dye-processing after setting the twists at 75-95°C. The method for producing the same is provided by doubling/twisting the polyester-based conjugate fiber with the natural fiber spun yarn, setting the twists at 75-95°C and then dye-processing.
