PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer device which can always efficiently use a FIFO memory for a plurality of communication channels. SOLUTION: The data transfer device (1) is provided with a FIFO buffer memory (10), a writing access port (20) and a readout access port (30). The FIFO buffer memory has the FIFO memory (11) corresponding to each of the plurality of communication channels, and, to the respective communication channels, as the FIFO memory, a plurality of memory blocks (12) are allocated. The writing access part has a history register (23) for storing a writing count for a predetermined period of time of each communication channel, and if a communication channel whose writing count exceeds a first reference value and a communication channel whose writing count is smaller than a second reference value smaller than the first reference value occur, reallocates a part of the memory block allocated to the latter to the former, and changes the size of the FIFO memory.
