PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid development method and a liquid development apparatus obtaining an image of high quality without any ground fogging, maldistribution or crushing of toner even when the quantity of the toner used for image formation is varied according to the type of a recording medium or the preference in image density of a user in the image forming apparatus using liquid developer. SOLUTION: A control mechanism controlling the supplied quantity of the developer 40 to a developing roller 42 of the liquid development apparatus, a control mechanism controlling the charged amount applied by a corona charger 100 to the developer 40 before developing and a control mechanism to control the charged amount according to the supplied quantity are provided.
