PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alicyclic epoxy (meth)acryalte wherein properties including shelf stability after being compounded with an acid group-containing hardener are improved. SOLUTION: The alicyclic epoxy (meth)acryalte represented by formula (1-1) has an alicyclic skeleton having an epoxy group of formula (1-2) and a radically polymerizable double bond. In a preparation method of the alicyclic epoxy (meth)acryalte, an alicyclic (meth)acrylate of formula (1-3) is epoxidized with a peracid synthesized through oxidation of an aldehyde, hydrogen peroxide or a peracid derived from hydrogen peroxide and an organic acid.
