The sensor is designed to measure rotation ratio using a rare earth element contained optical fiber as an optical source. The sensor includes : a dichromic mirror (22) attached to a rare earth element contained optical fiber (31); a pumping optical source (10); an optical fiber rotation sensing section (82); and a directional coupler (50).
