<p>A mobile communication terminal having a rotary type menu function and a menu control method thereof are provided to install a rotary type function key for selecting a menu in the mobile communication terminal, configure a rotary type menu in a form similar to the rotary type function key, display the configured rotary type menu, and rotate the rotary type menu in association with motion of the rotary type function key, thereby quickly and efficiently selecting a desired menu item without imposing loads to fingers. A method for controlling a rotary type menu in a mobile communication terminal comprises the following steps of: detecting motion of menu operation keys installed in the mobile communication terminal; and rotating and moving a menu, displayed on a screen in association with the detected motion of the menu operation keys, according to the motion of the menu operation keys. The motion is at least one of a rotation direction, rotation speed and rotation angle of the menu operation keys. The mobile communication terminal includes a wireless communication unit(101), a voice input/output unit(104), a memory(105), a key input unit(106), a display(107) and a controller(108). The controller displays menus corresponding to key input and performs functions selected through menus by controlling each function blocks.</p> |
