PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an access to data regarding postal matter possible by communicating code data gathered from postal maters, which are transported on postal matter routes at a plurality of sites, among a plurality of sites, transmitting the data, and installing a means to search the code data from on site. SOLUTION: A postal matter 1 is automatically processed and codes of POSTNET 2 and PLANET 3 are read out and the codes are saved together with other informations in a local data collecting apparatus 70. The local data collecting apparatuses 70 periodically collect the same information from systems in post office facilities and remote data collecting apparatuses 60 in general area. Area data collecting apparatuses 80 periodically collect an information from all of the local data collecting apparatuses 70 and the information is shared with all of the area data collecting apparatuses 80. Since each member of the system 10 is electrically connected with the nearest area data collecting apparatuses 80 through a member data receiving apparatus 90, each member can make an access to the records of all of the postal matters 1 in the whole system. |
