PURPOSE: To obtain an antimicrobial blank suitable for prints or documents requiring cleanness, by coating the surface of a paper with a mixed liquor comprising an inorganic antimicrobial agent and an adhesive binder. CONSTITUTION: First, an antimicrobial coating liquor is prepared by admixing an adhesive binder mainly consisting of a polyamide resin with an inorganic antimicrobial agent such as an antimicrobial zeolite obtained by substituting at least one kind of metal selected from sivler, copper and zinc for a part of the ion-exchangeable metal(s) in zeolite. Next, a paper substrate such as a tissue printing paper is coated with the above coating liquor at 0.1-1.0g/m<2> by e.g. gravure printing process to obtain the objective antimicrobial blank. |
