PURPOSE: To reduce the die cast cycle time, and to improve the productivity by feeding the oxygen gas in the reverse direction to the gas purging making use of a gas purging passage to substitute the air in a die with the oxygen. CONSTITUTION: A movable disk 4 is driven, a movable die 5 is clamped to a fixed die 3, and in an approximately simultaneous manner, oxygen is fed into a valve bush 24 from an oxygen feeding valve 27 through an oxygen feeding passage 26. A shut-off valve 25 is first in the open condition, the oxygen gas is fed into a cavity 6 through a valve chamber 13, a gas purging bypass 12, a detection chamber 11, a gas purging passage 10, and an overflow 9, the air is evacuated to be substituted with oxygen gas, and discharged from a molten metal pouring port 16 through a sprue 7, a runner 8, and an extrusion sleeve. The oxygen substitution is completed when the molten metal pouring is completed by pouring the molten metal from the molten metal pouring port 16 while dies 3, 5 are substituted with oxygen, and the cycle time is approximately same as that when no oxygen is substituted. |
