PURPOSE: To match the size of an article that a user refers to on a screen with the actual size of the article and to substantially equalize the article image on the screen to the actual body by displaying the image by displaying the absolute display size as the actual size of the article corresponding to the monitor size. CONSTITUTION: This electronic catalog system is provided with a CD-ROM 10 where at least image information on plural articles and a size coefficient αas information on the actual sizes of the articles are recorded, an MPU 11 which reads the image information and size coefficient α out of the CD-ROM 10, a monitor 2 which displays the image information read out of the CD-ROM 10 on its display screen, an input device 3 which inputs the inch value of the display screen of the monitor 2, and an enlarging and reducing circuit 24 which enlarges or reduces the image information read out of the CD-ROM 10 according to the size coefficient α and the inch value of the monitor inputted through the input device 3 so that the absolute size on the screen of the monitor 2 equals the actual size. |
