PURPOSE: To obtain a food material which is useful for infants, children and elderly which is prepared by boiling animal and fish bones in a pressure cooker and crushing them to utilize these bones, which have been discarded, without loss of their plentiful nutrients with good taste and texture. CONSTITUTION: For example, fish bones or poultry bones or domestic animal bones such as swine and cattle are placed in a pressure cooker, heated at 120 deg.C under 2 atmospheric pressure for 30 minutes to 1 hour, then cooled down, filtered through cloth to remove the filtrate. The remaining solids are dried, crushed with rods or hammers into small pieces. The small pieces are further pulverized with a crushing machine such as a mixer to form a powder of fine particles. This food material is mixed in food materials to produce sweets or food products. |
