The present invention relates to a device to protect a hydrant of a building, capable of securing a wide space to connect a fire hose to a hydrant by making a pipe bollard able to be opened and closed. The present invention includes: a base plate (30) including a through-hole (31) on the center to pass a hydrant (20), and an anchor hole (32) for installation on the floor; two pairs of clevis hinges (33, 34, 35, 36) installed on the base plate (30); pipe sockets (40, 41, 42, 43) combined with the clevis hinges (33, 34, 35, 36) respectively; hinge pins (44, 45, 46, 47) connecting the clevis hinges (33, 34, 35, 36) with the pipe sockets (40, 41, 42, 43); a pair of pipe bollard (50, 60) combined with the top of the pipe sockets (40, 41, 42, 43), and opened or closed around the hinge pins (44, 45, 46, 47); combination panels (52, 62) combined with combination parts of the pipe bollards (50, 60) respectively, and overlapped with each other when the pipe bollards (50, 60) are closed; hanging grooves (53, 54, 63, 64) formed on both edges of the combination panels (52, 62); a rod channel (70) including curved parts (72, 74) inserted into the hanging grooves (53, 54, 63, 64); and a bolt (80) and a nut (82) connecting the rod channel (70) with the combination panels (52, 62). |
