PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an influence of hue of a recording material part to be a base of a white toner image to provide a white toner image including the original white of white toner.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: first image forming means that forms a white toner image by using white toner on a recording material, such as a blue sheet; second image forming means that forms an overlapped toner image in which toner images in respective colors are overlapped with each other by using a plurality of colors of toner other than white on the recording material; and control means that controls the first image forming means and the second image forming means to form, with the second image forming means, a base toner image in a color that satisfies a predetermined complementary color relationship with a color of a recording material part on which the white toner image is formed, and to form, with the first image forming means, the white toner image to be overlapped on the base toner image on the recording material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
