1287007 Electric motors GOLAY BUCHEL & CIE 3 Dee 1969 [5 Dec 1968] 59047/69 Heading H2A In an asynchronous motor having an electronically commutated winding, the rotor position is detected by a pick-up device comprising a discontinuous screen 3 rotatable with the motor shaft 2, and a source of energy 9 and a detector 10 disposed on opposite sides of the screen, the detector being driven by an auxiliary motor 6 in the direction opposite that of the screen. In the system shown the energy source is a light bulb and the detector a photoelectric cell. There may be one or two cells per phase of the winding. It is stated that the arrangement provides for a constant slip frequency and prevents generator operation. |
