Pyridoindole derivs. their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addn. salts. (I) where R' = H or lower alkyl R" = H, lower alkyl or phenylalkyl R6-R9= H, Cl, Br, Me or CF3 independently at least one being other than H and when R" = lower alkyl, R8 = H, Cl, Br or CF3 Preferred are R8 = Cl or Br and R6,7,9 = H. Antihistamine and anti-allergic agents with little or no sedative or hypnotic effect. By condensn. of N-amino-N-arylaminoethyl-pyridines of general formula II with excess of piperidones (III) in an inert solvent e.g. benzene at 20-150 deg. |
