PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color image recording of characters or patterns having metallic luster. SOLUTION: This material 1 for thermally transferring and recording a metallic luster used as a thermally transferable foil for obtaining a recording, consists of, at least, a metallic luster layer 5 containing a metallic luster pigment scattered in the resin and an adhesive layer 6, on one of the surfaces of a, base material 2, and further, an ink receiving layer 4 indicating properties such as sublimable and thermally transferable ink reception and metallic and thermally transferable ink reception, formed between the metallic luster layer 5 and the base material 2. For the recording method, the metallic luster layer 5 of the material 1 is transferred to the surface of a part to which an image is transferred and the surface of the part now is an ink receiving layer 4. Further, a recording layer is formed by thermally transferring a sublimable and thermally transferable ink or a meltable and thermally transferable ink, of four colors such as YMCB, to the part to which an image is transferred. Thus a full color recording is obtained. |
