An electrical conducting cable for submersible motors adapted for use in high temperature, high pressure mineral wells. The cable includes separately insulated conductors disposed within an epichlorohydrin rubber jacket. The conductors are insulated with a layer of heat stabilized ethylene propylene rubber as the primary insulation. The jacketed cable unit is protected by an outer armor formed of a high temperature, high molecular weight, heat stabilized, polypropylene. The cable thus formed is flexible, abrasion resistant, solvent resistant, liquid impervious, heat insensitive and unaffected by well environment.
