[Also in Division C2] Compounds of the general formula wherein R 1 and R 2 are each H or C 1-5 alkyl, are employed as plant and soil fungicides, either alone or. in compositions comprising an inert carrier material. The compositions may be formulated as dusts comprising the active ingredient dispersed on an inert carrier, e.g. talc, diatomaceous earth, wood flour or clay, as wettable powders comprising the active ingredient dispersed on an inert adsorbent carrier, e.g. diatomaceous earth, together with a wetting and/or dispersing agent, e.g. alkali metal long chain sulphates, partially neutralised sulphates of petroleum or naturally occurring glycerides, or alkylene oxide-carboxylic acid condensates, as emulsifiable concentrates comprising the active ingredient dispersed in an organic solvent, e.g. dimethyl sulphoxide, together with a wetting and/or dispersing agent, e.g. those named above, or as fumigants, granules, fungicidal dusts or aerosols: Known fungicides and insecticides may also be present, many being specified, as may known nematocides, acaricides, herbicides, fertilisers, soil conditioners or plant growth regulators.</p> |
