摘要 Process for recovering protein, esp. in fish meal prodn. comprises cooking the crude matl., separating by pressing and/or centrifuging into a solid phase (which is dried) and a liq. phase from which fat and oil are removed, then dissolved protein flocculated from the defatted liq. by adding surfactants. the flocculated protein is then continuously recovered, together with protein which had already sedimented, in a conventional wet-process apparatus, then dried. The removal of oil or fat and pptation. of dissolved protein is pref. carried out continuously in presence of sedimentable protein. Process can be operated continuously with existing equipment and separate time-consuming sepn. stages for recovery of the two sorts of protein are avoided. Almost all the proten in the liq. phase is recovered.
