The impeller for a dirigible is mounted in pairs on either side of the fuselage on a transverse shaft. The angle of incidence relative to the plane of rotation of the blades is varied cyclically by means of a fixed annular cam around the shaft and a follower on the blade root. Blades (30) are asymmetrical with respect to their axis of oscillation (34). The cam follower (52) contact line with the cam (42) is in the plane of the wider part (48) of the blade, and leading relative to the axis of oscillation. The angle of oscillation does not exceed 45 deg.
