A program-controlled washing machine is linked by valves and an additive dosage device to the water mains, and is connected to the drainage through a fluff strainer and a drain pump. A pressure monitor and air trap from a level controller. Before fresh water is admitted for a new program, the programmer cuts in briefly the drain pump to make sure that waste water which has dropped back into the drum from the piping is removed. The drain pump is likewise briefly cut in before any additive for pre-rinsing, finish rinsing or soft rinsing is admitted. This prevents any unnecessary water, energy and time waste and produces a cleaner wash.
|
