HAND-HELD BIDET

A hand-held bidet apparatus made of hard plastic or metal is provided, which the user attaches by means of a snap-on or threaded connecter to a conduit leading to a tap assembly adjusted to the desired water temperature of the user. Water released from the tap moves through the conduit to the bidet and stops at a water release valve and button. Depressing the button releases the water into the mouthpiece of the bidet. The deep concave shape of the mouthpiece, which may be circular or oblong, directs the stream of water to the tip of the mouthpiece, which deflects the stream outwards, at an angle of approximately 90 degrees with respect to the linear axis of the bidet assembly, so as to contact the user. The waste water reflects off the user and must exit through the aperture in the bottom of the mouthpiece, thus providing the user with a constant stream of clean water. The portable snap-on connector of the apparatus permits the user to detach and remove the device, preventing others from using it. As well, for hygienic purposes, the mouthpiece of the device may be soaked in a container of anti-bacterial cleaning solution which need not be located where the bidet is used.
