PURPOSE:To enable arrangement of an apparatus for cultivating plants in a shape such as refrigerator or a chest of drawers in as narrow a space as possible in a construction for providing vegetables or flowers and ornamental plants by water culture in a space such as high-rise housing or aerospace without soil. CONSTITUTION:The subject apparatus is constructed as follows. An artificial light source 1 is arranged in the center and cultivation panels 4 and 4 are vertically erected on their left and right. Plants (A) are set in the aforementioned cultivation panels 4. Thereby, the cultivation panels 4 taking places due to planar arrangement and construction in conventional water culture can effectively be arranged.
